Whalewatching in the Gulf of Maine

Coming off a high of taking incredible photos of bald eagles and its juvenile eaglets I took my now Fiancé onto a boat to go whale watching. Thats right the seasick woman was going to have to drug up to go to my element boats and water. It was towards the end of the excursion that she mentioned how jealous she was of people like me that can just get on boats without having to take seasickness medication.

Neither me nor my Fiancé had ever been whale watching before and we were told to lower our expectations in case we ended up not seeing anything. But we ended up seeing 5 humpback whales and a rare sight in the gulf of Maine cause they usually never come into the gulf but a leatherback Sea turtle did end up making an appearance.

Overall we had a marvelous experience and i look forward to our hunt for natures beauty in Acadia in a couple weeks!
